Everyone's a Nerd
Were you the guy who got stuffed in a locker in high school or the one doing the stuffing? You may have thought that by being a jock, you may have surpassed the concept of nerd-dom. The fact is, you haven't! You're a nerd, a Sports Nerd.
Everyone is a nerd in their own way. You just have to consider what you're passionate about. The definition of nerd is: a single-minded expert in a particular technical field.
This could be about anything you are overtly studious about. Jocks spend countless hours a week working on their plays, cheerleaders their routines, skateboarders their stunts, and so on.
Tell your kids it's okay to be a nerd. Teach them to follow their passions and be the best they can be at them, and their nerdiness will shine!
(And make sure they aren't the nerds who beat other nerds up!)
